SOUNDS IN TOWN:
Sensibilities and Sensitivity

  • Dr. R. Craig, Eugene Hearing & Speech Center
  • Mike McKerrow, City of Eugene

How sound is regulated and how our ears respond to levels and types of sound will be discussed by two people who work with various aspects of those concerns in Eugene. Dr. R. Craig, Director of Clinical Services at the Eugene Hearing and Speech Center, is Head of the Center that treats patients with hearing troubles from "ringing in the ears" to balance problems. Mike McKerrow is the Land Use Management Supervisor for Eugene's Planning and Development Department. He is responsible for administration and enforcement of zoning and nuisance standards that relate to noise.

Coordinator for the Program is Laurel Fisher, who will introduce the speakers.
